Explanation of Frenum Piercing

I will give a detailed explanation to my piercing but I don't have pictures to show you each step. I tried taking pictures while doing the piercing but it was difficult. My step by step explanation would be extensive enough for you to understand my processes.

I have separated my steps into three main stages. The items preparation, body preparation, piercing and healing stages.

Stage 1: Items Preparation
Items required
Gloves,Needle, Alcohol Swabs, Dettol Sanitizer,Clean tissues, Sterile bag,Sterile Sheets,Body Marker and Jewellery

1) I used a needle which is basically used for sewing. However this was a high grade stainless steel needle. I do know it is not safe to use a sewing needle but this is where I am going to correct for my next piercing. I will be using a real piercing needle for my Lorum Piercing. Below is the picture of my needle,

2) Upon contact with the needle I was already using my gloves throughout. I placed the needle in hot water for about a few minutes and later dried it with a clean piece of clean tissue. Later I used the dettol sanitizer and cleaned it once again. After doing so, I used another piece of clean tissue and cleaned the needle dry.

3) Upon doing so, I placed the needle in the sterile bag to prevent it with any contact with the air or surroundings.

4) I threw away the gloves and took a new one. This time I cleaned the body marker surrounding with the dettol sterilizer and placed it into another sterile bag.

5) I then proceeded with the cleaning of the jewellery as the same steps mentioned for the cleaning of the needle. Finally placing it in another sterile bag.

6) All laid out nicely on the table, I proceeded with my preparation for my body.

Stage 2: Body Preparation

1) I went to have a complete shower using dettol body wash.

2) Especially with focus around my penis I washed the area with dettol as well.

3) After my shower, I used a new towel and cleaned my body and proceeded to my chair which has a sterile sheet on.

4) Gloves on.Using alcohol swabs I cleaned the area around my frenum and removed any dead skin and dirt around. You will be surprised how long you will take to clean till you get a clean sheet of alcohol swab.

5) Threw away the glove and used a new one. Placed a sheet of sterile sheet around my penis making a hole for it to go through.

Stage 3: Piercing

1) I laid down a piece of sterile sheet on my table and laid out the items from the sterile bags ( jewellery, needle and marker).

2) Pulled my foreskin back and using the marker I took some markings for my piercing.

3) Once I was contented with the positioning, I cleaned the needle once more with dettol and got ready with my piercing.

4) Taking one deep breath, I pushed the needle through. It gave a sudden sharp pain which went away instantaneously.

5) I faced great difficulty from here. I was stuck as I couldn't place in the jewellery through the hole pierced by the needle without having to remove the needle.Based on books I have read, the piercers usually use the end of the needle tip to guide through the jewellery. That is if the exit of the needle is the left, the jewellery will go through from there to the right and come out from the right at the same time as the needle.

6) I was stuck for some time and couldn't force the jewellery through. There was some considerable amount of blood coming out as well. Hence, I decided to take a risk and remove the needle to allow my jewellery to go in.

7) After doing so, I found the hole made and managed to push the jewellery through with ease.
Point to note: This is actually not the correct method. As mentioned above the jewellery is supposed to follow through as the needle leaves. The main reason for this to happen is because I didn't use a piercer's needle. I experienced alot of pain during the moment of trying to fit the jewellery in even more than the piercing itself! However, for those who are using my method go ahead and remove the needle and place the jewellery in. It is definitely faster and a painless affair.

8) Once done I threw away everything that was used and prepared myself for another shower. I used dettol body wash and gently cleaned the area. Changed into new undergarment and clothes.

Stage 4: Healing

1) Over the next few days(One week) I refrained from any masturbation activities or handling of the jewellery in a rough manner. I didn't go for any swimming in public pools as well.

2) I also found out that our urine acts as a natural cleanser and I continued with the dettol baths and cleaned the area regularly.

3) It is also very important to change your undergarment frequently to prevent any infections!

4) Around the 12th day, I changed the jewellery to a stainless steel barbell which will be my permanent jewellery for now till I find another new one.

5) As the wound has healed completely I wash my frenum area regularly without the barbell and clean the barbell as well.
Point to Note: Not everyone will heal as fast so please observe your healing process and change jewellery when necessary.

Immediately after Piercing

On a side note: I attempted the Lorum piercing at the same time as well but I could not fit the jewellery in as the marking was off. The jewellery was too small to exit from one end to another. The next time I will ensure the same mistake does not happen again.Thankfully, no infection set in and the wound healed in two day or so.

Picture below shows the extreme swelling due to the forcing in of the jewellery from one end to other. Swelling side being the side the jewellery was being attempted to exit.

Thank you and I hope you enjoyed my post and experience of my piercing. Next post would be on the facts of Lorum piercing and it will be followed by my piercing.

Please post your heartfelt comments. Good day!

FRENUM PIERCING DONE

Hi Everyone!

I am back again! I hope everyone who has viewed my blog find it informative and useful. Now I am back with the good news!

I HAVE DONE MY FRENUM PIERCING! So all those who have said I am here for just the talk but no action, you are wrong.

NOW INTO MY PIERCING!
Basically I have chosen the option to do the frenum piecing on my own. I went to the piercer to enquire about the cost and it was crazy! I had to pay a sum which I wasn't willing to do so for a needle to be to stuck through my dick and a jewellery placed through it. I had done enough research on my own and bought books meant for piercers to be entirely sure what I was doing. So I was confident with myself and I went ahead with the piercing on my own. My piercing has fully healed with no bleeding and zero pain. In fact there was very little blood on the day of my piercing. I have even changed my initial jewellery of a ring to a barbell after two weeks of the piercing.
I shall stop my ranting and allow you to view my pictures of my piercing! I will explain about the piercing in another post! Enjoy!

First look of piercing immediately after piercing. Ring with easy removal was used in case of infection so as to  allow easy cleaning of blood clots or crusts formed (honestly none were formed).

Day 7. Close-up of aerial view

Day 12. No pain and no more blood (stopped in Day 2) formed. Decided to change to a jewellery which was for a permanent use. Bought a stainless steel barbell from a friend's advice. Till now(Day 16), I remove my jewellery during every shower time to wash it and clean the area of piercing. No pain and wound has healed faster than expected.
As you can see this was my piercing done on my own. I need a word of caution to all my readers, please do not try the piercing on your own if you don't know anything about it. I was sure what I was doing and hence everything healed properly. On my next post I will explain my process of doing my piercing.

I am requesting my readers to comment on my post! Thank  you and please share your view points of my piercing!

Pictures of Probable Placing of Jewellery

As I had mentioned in my previous post I have prepared pictures of my penis which will have the probable placings of my piercings. I have included the Lorum, Hafada and Frenum piercings

First would be the Lorum and Hafada Piercings

As you can see I have decided to go with a ring jewellery for my Lorum Piercing and Straight Barbell for my Hafada Piercing

Second would be the Frenum Piercing. This will be my first piercing.

As you can see I will be using a straight barbell as well for my frenum piercing. You may wonder why the jewllery is partially visible. This is because the barbell will travel through my frenulum( I still have it because I am not circumcised). Extra leeway will be given when choosing the barbell to allow swelling and at the same time not too large as I wish to pull my foreskin over my piercing.

Next post would be show the real piercings on my penis and I will explain the steps that were taken. I will also try my best to make a video so as to ensure a better view of my penis during piercing.

Information: Frenum Piercing

Brief Explanation

A frenum piercing is a type of body piercing located on the underside of the shaft of the penis. A series of parallel  frenulum piercings is known as a frenum ladder. A frenum ladder may be extended to include Lorum piercings, Hafada piercings and guiche piercing (Refer below for picture)

Cool fact: Frenum piercing is the second most common piercing after Prince Albert.

Placement

Frenum piercings are almost always pierced perpendicular to the shaft of the penis. They may be pierced through the frenum that connects the head of the penis to the shaft, or anywhere further down the shaft of the penis. Less commonly, frenum piercings may be pierced along the top or even the sides of the shaft of the penis.

Healing

Frenum piercings generally require from two to five weeks to heal fully. Depending on the placement it may be a surface piercing, but due to both the vascular, fast healing nature of the penis, and loose nature of the skin in that area, frenum piercings rarely reject if pierced properly, although they may migrate.

Remember:Refrain from sexual activities during the healing process to ensure infections and rejections are prevented

Those wishing to stretch this piercing to accommodate larger gauge jewelry should wait until at least two weeks after the initial piercing has fully healed. It is common for a frenum piercing to start to close soon after the jewelry has been removed. A fairly recent piercing may start to close in less than an hour. Temporary removal and replacement (for example, to accommodate a partner who finds it uncomfortable) may mean reinserting with a smaller gauge and then restretching to get back to the original, larger gauge. This tendency for the piercing to close up will diminish over time.

Stop! Before continuing one must know how important the healing processes which include care after piercing.

A picture if this care is not taken,

YOU DON'T WANT THIS TO BE HAPPENING TO YOUR ONE AND ONLY PENIS!!!

Jewellery

Both barbells and rings can be worn in frenum piercings, both as initial jewellery and on an ongoing basis. Sometimes, when rings are worn, the diameter of the ring is specifically chosen so that the ring can be worn encircling the penis.

These are just some of the piercings to name a few. There are many others like the Bananabells and Opened Rings.

Remember: Different jewelleries of different gauges are used in different genital piercings.

Piercing Aftercare Guide

I took this guide from piercing.org as I find it the most comprehensive sources one can get for piercing information. You may wonder what's so important about piercing aftercare. Well, this is the self solution and prevention to any infections. Imagine having to visit a doctor for a penis infection. Furthermore, I believe this is essential for all beginning piercers to grasp eventhough it may be mundane. This is applicable to all genital piercings.Follow through and I have included some of my comments too.

Do and Don't After Piercing

Do check threaded jewelry daily to make sure it is on tight --> Due to movements the jewelleries may come loose. Ensure this is tight as the first few days of piercing without a jewellery will cause the piercing to close.

Don’t play with it, or ever, touch it with unwashed hands.

Don’t rotate your jewelry while cleaning it or otherwise!

Do be conscious of your clothes they should be clean and they should not be putting any pressure on your new piercing.Do be wary of your health. Get plenty of sleep and take vitamin supplements (Vitamin C, Zinc and Iron are all good) --> Helps in the healing process

Don’t swim. Pools, lakes oceans etc. are all breeding grounds for bad things.

Do use a waterproof bandage, such as Tegaderm, if you must subject your piercing to getting wet --> Not necessary for frenum piercing as bleeding from this piercing is minimal.

Do feel free to use ice or Ibuprofen to help alleviate swelling and pain.

Don’t have unprotected sex with a fresh genital piercing, not even in a monogamous relationship.

Do avoid contact with others bodily fluids near your piercing until it is fully healed.--> Important!

Don’t remove your jewelry if you suspect infection. It needs to remain in to allow drainage.

Removing it can lead to abscess, swelling, bruising and bleeding. If you suspect an infection please call your piercer immediately.

Some common misconceptions

1) Frenum piercing can be done for both circumcised and uncircumcised males. For the uncircumcised male it will be done along the frenum that holds your foreskin. Circumcised will be done on the outer flab of  skin below the penis head ridge.

2) Frenum piercing is the least bleeding piercing if done properly.

3) Recommended for those who are fearful of excessive bleeding such as ampallang piercing.

This is the end of my post on the information needed for frenum piercings. I will follow up an article next which will give a visual to my penis and where the piercing will be done.
